Home Sweet Home...On Sale

Our home is on sale.

Josh and I bought this house in February of 2010, and we turned the house into our home...Mostly because Josh's handy work transformed it...

He did a lot of demo....

 He cut a lot of tile...

He laid the floors...See the gray thing on the floor? That is a heat mat. At the flip of a switch, the floors heat up. He did it for me because I get so cold in the winter. Sigh...I'm a lucky girl...He warms my heart and my feet. :)

 He painted...And see the hardwood floors he is standing on? Yup, he laid those too!

 Here is the painted wall, and the floors he laid. He also hung the chandelier.

Here is our kitchen. Josh laid the hard wood floors in here too. And see the mosaic black splash? He put those up too.

Basically...My husband...

Is a freaking bad ass!!!

It has been great living here for the past two and half years, and we have made some great memories in this home. We are selling this home in the hopes of buying another house...our dream house at the moment. Hopefully we will turn that house into our home sweet home.

But ultimately, home is where the heart is. Since Josh has my heart, home is wherever he is.

Yay!!! He did it!!! Congratulations, Little Brother!!!

My little little brother (He's not that little, but I guess he will always be my little brother to me) graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry on May 27, 2012. I couldn't be more proud of him.

I love you more than words can say; I am blessed to have you as my brother.

                                   

 In July he will be moving to Texas where he will begin work with the U.S. Army. We will miss you like crazy. Jeez, just writing about it is making me teary. Remember to always trust in God in all that you do. We know you will continue making us proud, Little Brother. Take care, and know we are always here for you, praying for you and rooting for you! Go get 'em!

Honeymoon-Part 6 (Capetown)

We ended our honeymoon in Cape Town. Cape Town was beautiful. 

The vibe was completely different. It didn't feel like Africa. It felt more like the States, like Santa Monica Promenade meets Orange County.  Beachy, yet bourgie. That's the best way I can describe it. 

I loved hearing these guys play. I even bought a CD, but I don't know where it went. We unpacked all our bags, but didn't see it anywhere. Totally bummed me out.  : ( 

While we were in Cape Town we went up to the Table Top Mountain. It's called Table Top Mountain because it's flat like a table top. 

To get up to the top we had to take a cable cart all the way up. Josh was nervous because he is afraid of heights. Sorry Josh...I just outed you.

But we made it to the top!!! 

Here are a couple of shots from the view from the top of the mountain. Gorgeous! It was amazing how blue the sky and the water were. 

We also got to see African Penguins! They live on the beach. I love penguins. 

All in all, Cape Town was amazing. South Africa was amazing and a dream come true. 

Honeymoon-Part V (Swaziland)

Swaziland....

On one of the days we went to Swaziland. To be completely honest, this was a depressing place. It was poverty stricken, it had the highest rate of AIDS in the world. 

And children were the main source of income in most of the homes in Swaziland. This is a boy who sold necklaces on the streets. He would NOT smile. Even when people bought necklaces from him he would not crack a smile. I don't know this boy, but I pray that he will one day have a reason to smile. 

Honeymoon-Part IV (Hippos and Crocs)

We went to St. Lucia. This place is literally swarming with hippos! Hippos will be walking down the main streets. Hippos will go into the hotel swimming pools to relax. NO JOKE! I'm totally serious!

We got on a boat to see more hippos and crocodiles.
